Woodford took opening kickoff, and worked downfield, aided by a fake punt. 7-0 Yellowjackets after the long drive.

 

South shutout in the first....hasn't happened much this year.

 

Crazy second period; everything South did was magic, and they broke loose for the most points they've scored in a quarter this year, 41, to take a 41-13 halftime lead.

 

Woodford opened the second half with back-to-back successful onside kicks, and scored TDs after both to pull to within 41-27 with 6:50 left in the third. But they rolled the dice a third consecutive kickoff, and this time the gamble came up "snake eyes". South's Colton Bowlden fielded the third onside attempt cleanly on the run, and raced 51 yards for a TD and a 46-27 lead.

 

South's Drew Zaubi finished 5-8-0 passing for 179 yards and 4 TDs, tying his season high for TD tosses.

 

Colton Bowlden finished with 95 yards and a TD on the ground for South.

 

Woodford rushed for over 300 yards, and became the third straight team to score 30+ vs. South, but to no avail.
