I don't think that I would be criticizing the Hoover's record keeping if I supported an administration with the record of "losing" email messages (IRS) and blatantly destroying records following a Congressional subpoena (Hillary Clinton and her minions) that the Obama administration has posted. Armed with a hammer and a strong magnet, electronic records can be made to permanently disappear at a much faster rate than was possible during the Hoover administration.

 

Yet, the Obama administration managed to screw up multiple cover-ups worse than Nixon's administration did in the Watergate scandal. There were just not as many willing participants in the Watergate cover-up. Specifically, Hoover refused to participate in Nixon's plan to exact revenge on his political enemies, which led to the formation of the White House Plumbers group. Following Hoover's death, it was Deputy FBI Director, Mark Felt (a/k/a "Deep Throat"), who leaked information to Woodward and Bernstein, which led directly to Nixon's downfall.

 

Your "everybody does it" defense of Obama's DoJ and FBI refusal to hold Hillary Clinton accountable for her crimes is a feeble one. Even Nixon did not politicize federal agencies to the extent that Obama has. Nixon feared Hoover, as did other presidents. The DoJ and FBI are Obama's political allies and have actively suppressed multiple Obama administration scandals.

I did not return to exchange personal attacks with anybody, including you. If your defense of Hillary Clinton was not an indication of your support, then I apologize for assuming such. However, I do note that you did not respond to the content of my post, which refuted the assertions made in your post.
