I had considered voting for the Libertarian candidate, but I don't believe that Johnson and Weld are libertarians. They are liberal Republicans running as opportunistic members of the Libertarian Party. Supporting drug legalization and partaking in mind altering drugs is not the sole qualifications to be a small "l" libertarian. My idea of a libertarian is one who champions a truly free market, individual liberty, and as small a federal government as necessary for the peace and security of its citizens. Johnson and Weld are liberals who would not be taken seriously as Republican candidates. I would not take them as serious candidates no matter what they called themselves.

October 31, 20169 yr Johnson has withered under the scrutiny this election brought. Foreign policy is the realm the president has the most autonomy and influence over, and Johnson appears completely indifferent about it, if not oblivious.
