October 19, 201610 yr Who are the top potential coaching candidates at the end of the year? Edited October 19, 201610 yr by GrantNKY
October 19, 201610 yr Author My top 5: 1. Tom Herman 2. Les Miles 3. Greg Schiano 4. Lane Kiffin 5. Ed Orgeron
October 19, 201610 yr Not sure how to answer it since my team's coach is in the same boat as the two you mentioned, but if Michigan didn't have a coach, I'd want them to go after Dabo Swinney or Bobby Petrino.
October 19, 201610 yr Author I also thought about looking at some NFL coaches who could potentially be on the hot seat who have college pasts. - Bill O'Brien - Chip Kelly

I changed the question because it was probably a little confusing. But I thought about putting Harbaugh there but I didn't want you to have the satisfaction of you seeing me mentioning him in the same breath as Urban and Saban. Haha I was speaking theoretically, if your team had an opening. I was thinking more coaches at smaller schools or Coordinators at big schools. Dabo is probably untouchable by everyone except Bama since he is an alum. Petrino would go to LSU in a heartbeat if they offered (sorry, Deuce)

October 20, 201610 yr Call me crazy, but I just have a feeling Lane Kiffin stays at Bama long enough to become the next head coach. Given his track record, he would have left by now to take another head coaching position.
