No I mean a real conference......

It is a real conference? Basically the AAC brought all of the fringe schools from the last conference realignment and made a conference. It didn't work. Who exactly are you proposing they join a conference with? I don't think you understand how these conferences work. The conferences make money from the teams at the top being national brands and winning national championships. Why would a fringe school like say a BYU for instance join a conference with other schools that aren't going to win a NC, when they can go to the Pac 12 get all of the revenue that comes from being in a conference with their own TV network, revenue from championships, etc. and get the recruiting benefits that come with being in a Power 5 conference? The AAC thought they could do this and bring in a UC who made a few BCS bowls, Louisville who is generally good, Houston who is generally good, etc. But Louisville couldn't wait to get out and UC, Houston, and UConn jumped at the opportunity to join another conference. Creating your own conference simply wouldn't work.

So 8 of 10 votes were needed. Two of the 10 are leaving while one is an interim. :isurrender:
