Two players (other than Beaumont, who scored 3 TDs last night on only 7 carries and a punt return in the first half) really impressed me. One is Josh Williams (#20), the senior wide receiver who caught an 80 yard TD pass and also had an 85 yard interception return for a TD. The other is fellow wide receiver Nik Brasley (#88). Brasley had a 74 yard TD reception and an impressive kick return for big yardage. The C-J roster lists Brazley as 5'6" 150lbs, but if he is only 5'6" I need a set of eyeglasses. He looks to be at least 6' tall to me. Both players are very fast.

We had a nice following last nite. Stands were packed...The Hawks had a player go down with a leg injury. There was a 45 minute delay in waiting for an ambulance. Everyone around us felt terrible that he had to wait so long. Isn't there a rule or law that says there is one at every high school football game? And the ambulance had to come back when someone fell on the bleachers. There is the "Old Style" bleachers there that have the opening where someone could fall through. Jefferson County needs to look at these things. Like to hear some feedback and maybe I'll start a new Thread to get more imput. Also like to know how the player is doing? Hawks will win some games this year.

The bleachers at Seneca (at least on the visitors side, I didn't sit on the home side) are not very safe. They are solid as a rock (i.e. not wobbly in the least), but there is only the seating surface (extruded aluminum about 12" wide) and the footboards (also extruded Al about 12" wide) with a lot of open space to the ground below. The footboard area needs to be completely closed. Not at all safe for small children or even people with less than perfect balance. And they really need to make aisleways with handrails going up to the top row every so often so you don't have to blaze a trail through every packed bleacher row to get in/out.

Quite frankly, I'm surprised they can get insurance to hold games there.

On the positive side, it was a nice crowd. I'd be curious to know the attendance for the game.

For those who saw this game:

Can Seneca compete with Oldham, Ballard, Shelby, Southern, and Fern Creek and earn a playoff spot? I know that they have started 0-3, but the early word on them was that they would be greatly improved.

I would think that Ballard and Shelby would fight for the #2 and #3 spot and the #4 spot is wide open.

Just give the #4 spot to Fern Creek, Charlie.
