Basketball season for 2016/2017 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Garrard County? Remember, please be constructive.

They will have 5 seniors this year and should be able to have a very successful year. They are getting back a player that did not play last year and will help tremendously in the post! Look for GC to have a very good season. Can they beat Boyle, Danville, or Lincoln? They have to prove it, but they can do it!

Anxious to see how the year turns out. Biggest thing will be finding consistent scoring. There are a few kids that can potentially put points on the board, but none have ever had to. If they can find that, they'll be alright.

You're exactly right. If #21 and #3 can become consistent perimeter scorers along with #33 they could be very dangerous. They all can shoot the ball very well, it is just putting it into a game. Their defense is solid at time, but still break down. Hopefully with it being the 3rd year under Latham they have learned the new system enough to be more successful. I think the season depends on the offense (like you said) being able to score consistently. They need to average at least in the mid 50's to be competitive in all their games. The last two years they have averaged in the 40's!!

This. It's so hard to beat teams when you're scoring in the 40s because you can't take any trips off defensively. If you can get your points up into the 50s, then a couple missed defensive assignments (even though you don't want that) don't kill you.
