Raceland scored on the opening kickoff and built a 18-6 lead before holding on at the end for a 18-14 win to start the season.

I stopped by this one after work today. Honestly both teams have some talented freshmen and it showed at the end of this one, it was a great game to watch. Lot's of turnovers and penalties in this one, something both teams will have to work. I noticed a handful of Ashland freshmen weren't dressed and were sitting with some of the varsity players across from me, I assume because they played in Friday's game and will likely play again tomorrow night against GW. I also noticed who was in the press box operating the clock, gotta say some of the boy's that play varsity were giving him a hard time for his operating skills at the end of the game hah. Congrats to the Rams on the win, it doesn't look like there will be any downward trend over the next few years for Ram football.

Way to go young Rams ...your class is one that will inherit, carry on the Ram Football Tradition just as countless others have through the years.
