Might have been the year before I was thinking of.

I do remember the optimism when Stoops got there. Especially after starting 5-0 and losing that game that UK actually won against Florida when the play clock expired, but they let the play go on and I'm sure everyone knows what happened next. But IMO I think it is the optimism or lack thereof that drives UK football. I don't think the fact that people are wondering whether or not they will beat Southern Miss bodes well for the future. If the allure of Stoops coming to UK, and the optimism that came with him, is already gone, then what can fans look forward to?

Seeing as how he apologized after the game to UK fans I'd say yes. He feels what could be coming.
