It's not going to be a good year for Portland.

FS looks good so far but the competition gets much better next week at Caldwell Co. FS always has speed but this year they have size and improved line play on both sides of the ball.

I think the Wildcats get the win at Caldwell County next week.

Even though this was cross-state rival Portland, it's sounds like it was just another scrimmage. Season gets under way next week vs. Caldwell. Shapes up to be a good game.

Back in the late 1980's we were taken there to change before playing Caldwell. That was the last time I was there

First time I saw that place I was a freshman. When I watched "The Longest Yard" with Burt Reynolds I thought, "That's Caldwell County".

Caldwell County still plays soccer at Butler Stadium. The wall is still there, but things look a little different on the inside these days. :lol2:

Shadetree Stadium in Franklin is starting its 50th season. What gets me about that is I played in there the second year.

 

All still in use.
