Could Amir Garrett be called up before Stevenson?

Featured Replies

There was talk on McCalister's podcast last night that Amir has been outpitching Stephenson, albeit in AA, since June. If given the choice do you bring Amir up first,Stephenson or neither till next season?

Garrett has been in AAA for the past month or so.

Could Garrett get the call first? Sure, but I think they want to see more than 4-5 starts before making that decision.

Could have swore Lance said AA, has he been at AAA all season?

Past month, over read it.

No, just for the last 4 weeks or so. Lance probably did say AA. He's usually pretty clueless.

Heck, I'd like to see 'em all up at some point, if anything just to see what we have without having to drive to Louisville, Dayton, etc. And you might be able to sell a few more tickets from the interest at first. :idunno:

Garrett could end up being as good as any of the other prospects in the system. He was a 2-sport guy (basketball & baseball) until the last couple seasons. I think he has a ton of potential. 6'5'' 210 pound lefty.

I think Joe Nuxhall will be called up before Stephenson.

I noticed Garrett's K/BB ratio is pretty low. How is his accuracy?
