Ram Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 What does Spencer County need to do to improve in 2016? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.
MrKnowNothing Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 I have heard the talent is there. They just need to see who can take some of the load from the departed Holbrook. I know one of the rbs is back, maybe Smith?? I would expect Spencer to be very good
Tommy2tone Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 I think they have a lot of returning talent. However, I think they will finish 3rd in the strongest 4A district.
Ed Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 (edited) Coach Marksbury does a great job at Spencer and this team will NOT be 3rd in the district unless they have a rash of injuries. Their talent is too good. Backfield is very explosive with them returning 2 backs who rushed for over 1000 yards. I'm sure they will have to replace Holbrook by committee. I can't see them finishing any worse than second. I'm not sure what Shelby has returning off their very good team from last year. I would pick Spencer to win the district. Edited July 29, 2016 by Ed
Tommy2tone Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 How was THAT negative? Even said they have a lot of returning talent! Giving an opinion on where they might finish is not criticism... What do I feel they need to do to advance? They must be able to throw it for 300 yards a game if someone can stand up to the run. BTW, hear the field over there is looking great.
DeSales Dad Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 Coach Marksbury is a pure football guy as well as a great advocate for his program. The people are behind him 100% and he is doing great things there. I agree with Ed, no one player is going to replace Holbrook, but the cupboard is far from empty.
