Thanks for sharing this. We have got to develop more kids and get kids excited at an earlier age. We only had six seniors in 2015. Mike Floro and his MS Staff do a great job and I am glad my youngest son gets to play for those guys. Joe Fister and his staff have been very good in making these adjustments for Youth Football. We're making progress and we also know we have much work still to be done.

I really hope the changes these guys are making, turn the youth program into what I feel it could be. I've had 2 sons be a part of that program, and I can assure you that a massive restructuring and a shift in motivation could really make a difference for the "late bloomers" of the group!

I really wish it weren't too late for my boys to experience these changes, as both have lost interest in the game and something tells me had they played in this system, it may have worked out differently!

I believe these changes will add to the building interest and excitement around our football program. Coach Buchanan already has new upperclassmen coming out to play (either for the first time or the first time in a while). Getting young kids excited about football at the elementary age is big in building the talent pool from the ground up. It's also key to have knowledgeable rec league coaches who teach and reinforce the fundamentals while keeping it fun for the kids.
