- Size and distance: Its the largest moon in the solar system in respect to associated planet. And its relatively close to the Earth compared to other moons. In fact some refer to the Earth-Moon system as a binary planetary system.

- Size in sky compared to the sun. They match. Not sure what the usefulness of this is but its another coincidence.

- Critical function to keeping Earth in stable tilt. Without the moon the Earth would vary in tilt, making our living here hard if not impossible.

 

The recent AA episode also pointed out how the craters are all basically the same depth. Since meteorites would be different sizes and masses and different velocities this should not be be the case. I had not heard of that oddity before.

 

The current theory of the proto-collision would need so many of the variables to be just perfect for the current configuration that its considered all but impossible. But it provides the only 'natural' explanation of the formation of the moon.

I've heard that before. On one of the Nasa missions they left seismic equipment behind to see if the moon was geologically active. Upon leaving orbit they crashed the Lander back into the moon and nasa said the moon rang or reverberated for an hour? Giving way to it being artificial and hollow conspiracies, placed here to help stabilize the earth for life to happen. The craters all being the same depth helps that theory also. There are ancient texts describing the sun of the night just apperaring when there was none before. Others described the moon being "towed" in and left by the gods.
