June 1, 201610 yr 3 new Ky. breweries to open by summer's end 2 new breweries in Louisville and 1 new brewery in Somerset plus one expanding in Covington. Kentucky has lagged behind the rest of the country but with these new openings the state is moving forward. I hope for nothing but the best for these upstarts and their future success.
June 1, 201610 yr I have heard rumors of two additional breweries in NKY, one in Ludlow and one in Bellevue/Dayton. Maybe those are going to be 2017 though.
June 2, 201610 yr Author The one in Somerset has a huge window to watch the brewing through and a roll up garage door that opens on the seating area for an outdoor type atmosphere. I don't drink anymore but I hope it does well, it would add to the downtown atmosphere of Somerset.
June 2, 201610 yr There was or is one planned for Ashland, but I'm not sure what the holdup is on that as I haven't seen any work being done to the building in months now.
