Best thing they can do is repair, remake and put them right back up.

They caught the guy the next day. He drove past a door at the old court house and the camera in the hallway got video of his car. HPD posted the video on Facebook and in no time he was arrested. He ended up getting a flat tire from pieces of the crosses puncturing his tire. Had to leave it at McDonald's a few blocks away. Someone saw the video and called and reported the car at McDonald's. Said there was pieces of the crosses still in his tire.

 

Stupid decision, not sure why he did it. Probably drunk. Dozens of people came out Saturday morning to help put the crosses back up. Some were broken beyond repair. A local business had replacements made that day. Pretty proud to be apart of this community after seeing the response.

 

Dude de made a dumb decision and will pay the price. Hopefully his punishment will fit and help him learn the real meaning and reason for why those crosses are put up every year.
