Freshman Bryce Ziegler with a huge double to knock in 2 runs and I think Senior Walkenorst hit in 2 more in last inning.

Rom went the distance for HHS. 10 Ks

 

Pitzer had 7 Ks.

Great game by the Birds. Sam Hennigan got it started in top of 1st by scoring on a wild pitch/passed ball. CovCath answer with plating 1 in bottom of the 1st. Then both pitchers, Drew Rom and Cam Pitzer, went on cruise control. CovCath strand 2 runners in bottom of the 5th. Top of 6th Birds score 2 on RBI double by Frosh Bryce Ziegler and RBI single by Austin Mayhew making it 3-1. Birds play add on with RBI single by Mark Walkenhorst. Both Drew and Cam pitched complete games.

 

S/O to the Birds defense. Only 1 error/bad hop but made plays when they were needed. This is 2 hard fought victories in back to back days. Hopefully this is a confidence booster.

Way wild pitch, it got away from Pitzer and went about 10 feet high off the screen.

Other than that pitch, he was very good all night.

First time seeing Rom. He's the real deal.
