After losing game 1 in Washington to open the series, Pittsburgh won 3 straight before giving up game 5 to the Caps on the road.

 

Pittsburgh leads the series 3 games to 2 and can close it out tomorrow night at home.

They lived up to that again last night, but the Caps had a chance. Pittsburgh blew a 3-1 lead in the 3rd period sending the game into OT. However, Nick Bonino got one by Holtby, 6 and half minutes into overtime, to give the Penguins the game 4-3 and the series 4 games to 2.

That East final should be a doozy.

 

Ditching my expensive cable package and really paring down on the channels is killing me this playoffs. I mean, if I'm feeling up to it I can walk down the street and they'll have a game on at the bar but not being able to sit at home and just have these games on is a lot more irritating than I thought it would be when I pulled the trigger on this change...
