Reef At Manhattan Harbour

Featured Replies

It used to be called Watertown Marina a very long time ago.....

I have heard the Pool area on a Summer Sunday afternoon gets pretty Crazy!

Manhattan Harbour has had some serious issues over the past few years. Ownership has changed hands, under funded. Restaurant changed managers/owners 4 times over the course of one summer. They don't dredge enough for boats and as soon as they do, the water rises again an fills it back in. The barge itself was actually left crooked on the silt after last time. Also the owner from last year, some guy who ran apartments so the city of Dayton gave him the rights to run it, was totally disengaged. We were there one night. A storm kicked up and knocked a ceiling fan and light globe to the floor. He stood there drinking his beer and smoking his cigarette and never walked around or asked if everyone was OK. It could have killed someone. Finally a bar tender comes from behind the bar to clean up as the owner did nothing. Buddy of mine tried keeping his boat there in the water. I think he is pulling it out this year.

A lot of "older" adults who like to pretend they are still in college and party hard there.
