KHA u17 red just won KPL this past weekend by beating United. This does not guarantee winning a state cup but beating all the teams in a league game shows you that you can compete for one.

 

Congrats to KHA Red on locking up KPL. They get KFJ in Group A the first weekend, which I thought was also counting for their last KPL and MRL games. Probably two of the three best teams in KY in the same group. Good luck to KHA at state cup - indeed some very talented individuals on that team. They play in both, coach is Sion Chamberlain.

Your correct, they have not played KFJ yet, it is on the KPL/MRL schedules for this Saturday. I am not certain if they are still playing this weekend since they landed in the same pool for State Cup, could play the match on 5/30 for all the marbles.

 

I think with Ibra being out they lose some leadership, and a huge scoring threat, I still think these boys have what it will take to run the table at State Cup.

Losing Ibra does hurt. He plays very hard and is really talented offensively. They still should be able to make a run at it though. Next man up. They play this Saturday at 11:00 at Withrow. If they win this game they should win their MRL division also. KFJ won state last year and will also be in the running for it this year. Should be an interesting couple of weeks for the boys.
