Eastern Relays this weekend at U of L. This meet is top tier competition, a great preview for State meet. Who do we watch for top performances this weekend ?

Eastern Relays Meet Schedule.pdf

Will Allen, Kasaun James to name a few. Involves schools from Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, OH, KY so not a true preview of the state meet but many elite athletes are running from KY.

Highlands Boys and Girls throw crew!! #1 Ky 2AA Shot Putter, Tyler Robinson with a season best 49'7" and all Ky Divisions leader #1 Discus, Mikayla Reichert with a season best 123'7". Drew Bravard rounding the top 8 in the Discus and Larken Laur top 10 in Discus.

Brossart 2nd place in 800m sprint medley tonight--broke school record and 4th in 1600m sprint medley also breaking school record. Good start for the Stangs. Smoke show continues tomorrow.

Miserable weather, but watching Allen run made it worth the trip. Not a personal best, but very impressive. Signed with Alabama?

Yes! Pretty awesome. Kasaun James signed with Auburn.

Brossart finishes 8 out of 63 teams. Only NKY team in top 20. Not bad for the tiny Stangs. Withrow finished 2nd to the athletic power, Brentwood Academy.

Will Allen….as delivered. Smooth as butta…..

Find me a team that gets more out of a group of kids than even they expect….not a bad weekend for the little guy….

How close were Brentwood and Withrow? Would it have been combined results (boys and girls)? If so, just wondering if it came down to the girls 4x100, when Withrow, with a slight lead, failed to get the hand off in the zone on the final leg.

Watching him close the 4x4 was amazing.

I don't think that race would have mattered, nor would any other one. Withrow was not even close to Brentwood in the final scoring (112.50 to 48).

Yes on boys side. I'm new to track, so wasn't sure if there was also an overall (boys and girls) winner as well. Perhaps if there was, the boys margin would still be insurmountable, was just curious.

What a miserable day for a track meet! Cold and raining all day. The things we do for our kids....

Yeah, lots of people huddled up in cars with steamed windows....
