This a a D-3 softball school here in Ohio.

 

As I said this is a JV team.

 

I also should have said the #2 pitcher this year is a senior, who did not play last season.

 

I do not believe this is a thing where talent is being built for the future, at least in her case.

From what I have heard at the games is, she had no shot at making the varsity club, so she was put on the JV team.

 

The varsity is 9-0 and ranked #1 in the state.

sounds to me like a dad complaining that his kid isn't pitching. A senior that doesn't make varsity should just be cut. In fact, in Kentucky she can't play jv. Let the coach do their job. Message boards are not a good place for parents.
