April 15, 201610 yr Steph, at age 28, has 1,593 made threes. Michael Jordan and Larry Bird combined for 1230 in their careers. The game is different, and MJ certainly wasn't a sniper from the arc, but the enormity of that number is just crazy. Put their storied careers together, and Steph is already 29.5% past them in terms of made threes. Also, Larry shot 37.6% from the arc in his career, Steph shoots it at over 44%. Reggie Miller was at 39.5%. Ray Allen was at 40.0%. Steve Kerr was...wait for it...45.4%; however, he attempted for his career what Steph has made by age 28, and obviously, Kerr was never a guy who could get his own shot.
April 15, 201610 yr Oh, by the way, he also led the NBA in steals. Ludicrous season for him individually, and the team collectively.
April 16, 201610 yr Curry also joined the 50-40-90 club. He came close to averaging 5 made three pointers/game and if I am not mistaken he shot close to 45% from three. Ab. Surd. Still trying to let that stat sink in.
