Butler County 2016

Featured Replies

What does Butler County need to do to improve in 2016? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

It will all ride on the play of QB King Rex, he will take them as far as he can but may not have enough support to make it all the way to OC or Mayfield

This is a year where many think BC can make a run (farther than last year), assuming Rex stays healthy. Should the team stumble with a healthy Rex, I think it falls on coaching staff. No pressure!

All that being said, I'm predicting Butler County beats Russellville this year. I'm not predicting a Mayfield win, however.

Russellville will be almost as good as mayfield in 2016..But a win over Russellville will build confidence to go a long way...

Not sure on that one, you might be right. I'm seeing a strong-out-of-the-gate Butler team and a Russellville team that finishes strong--just a hunch. Early season matchup, so that's the reasoning for my upset pick. That and how the game ended last year. Not sure Butler lost that game, they just ran out of time.

I question that, I think Russ will be good but I think 2016 MF will be really good. But that is just my opinion. Either way a win over Russ would be big and getting to MF would be pretty impressive and winning VS MF is something I will choose not to even imagine, bad for my heart.

If Russellville had a passing game like Mayfield they could be just as good and dangerous....

Agreed! Although Russellville rarely has a problem putting up points. On the other side of the ball, stopping the pass is just as important. After Mayfield pounds you a little, they execute you with multiple receivers.

KING REX!

If Butler County was 1A in 2016 I would put them right at the top with a chance to win it all. I could have seen them making a run like Hancock County did with Travis Atwell.

Just can't see them beating Mayfield, OCath, and then either Desales/CAL to get to Bowling Green.
