Per the rankings systems how many upsets have we seen through regional tournament play across the state thus far? Just curious.

Great question, prior to tonight, there have been 76 boys region tourney games, only 7 upsets - remarkably few, but most of the tougher games are still to come. We'll see how it turns out.

 

The girls have completed region tournament play and there have been a few more, 112 games total, and 18 upsets. Typically, there are less upsets on the girls side, so I'm expecting them to start rolling in tonight and tomorrow for the boys.

Missed both games in 1st region tonight

North Hardin?

Montgomery County?

What about Graves County? Paducah Tilghman? Warren Central? Oldham County? Paris? Rowan County?

 

As I said, no way we could continue the 90+% clip in region tournament play - the upsets were coming. We went 16-9 since the last count to put us at 85-16 for boys region tournament play so far. 84.2% for those keeping track at home.

 

We'll update the bracket again after the conclusion of region tourney play.

What the heck, with all the changes, we went ahead and updated the bracket.
