Middlesboro 28 Cumberland 12 Scrimmage

Featured Replies

Cumberland came to play tonight. They were driving for the tying score before the half when Blanton threw an int that got returned 105 yards for the TD. That seemed to take the wind out of their sails. If they kept playing focused, we may have been looking at a different ballgame. Middlesboro looked pretty good but I was still impressed well more surprised with Cumberland. Also note that the Skins were without Mr. Everything Michael Washington would gives them a big play threat everytime he touches the ball. This team has speed speed and more speed. On D they swarm the ball. I think Region 4 District 7 has a serious contender and Somerset need not overlook the Skins. They may be young but they are solid.

Middlesboro was also without Da'lin Farr last night, not only is he a great WR but not having him at CB really hurt.

Our 1st team offense only played about a hand full of plays together last night most of the time Kenny Roark was shuffling in and out a lot of younger players that he wanted to see how they would respond against varsity competition.

You only got a small taste of what Middlesboro will run for the 06 season.

That 105 yard interception return by Cornelius Gregory Ford was very nice. I thought I was watching a college team at first.
