Congratulations to these players for continuing their playing days. My question is, do they receive any tuition from these colleges or are they all pay to play "scholarships"? If they don't receive anything, why do they need to sign? How many kids does Thomas More take?

Congratulations to these players for continuing their playing days. My question is, do they receive any tuition from these colleges or are they all pay to play "scholarships"? If they don't receive anything, why do they need to sign? How many kids does Thomas More take?

 

THese are Div 3 schools so no athletic scholarships but many get very good academic scholarships that are often better than Div 2 athletic scholarships. The signing is celebratory in nature so the Div 3 kids can celebrate their decisions. They are recruited by the colleges the same way any kid at any level is recruited. Usually keep about 100 kids but some keep more. Mount Union for example keeps 200 or so. Many have JV teams too with JV schedules. D3 is no joke though. Very very good players and competition.
