Would love to hear,,, how much better has your daughter got from the beginning of this year to regionals???? 3/4 days a week practice and games,,,, just getting perspective?

Im sure many would laugh at 3/4 days a week practice! Think it's more like 7 days...

Why would your team only be doing stuff 3/4 times a week including games. So they play a couple games and have a couple practices? Are they out of the post season?

Any time you spend on the court helps you get better. It's about who works harder and smarter once they get to high school.

6/7 days, 4/5 days, was looking for a yes or no with some elaboration on how they did or didn't get better.

Not about a team either, individual improvement.

Also I will disagree with any time on court makes them better, practice does not make perfect/better.

Correct practices make for good development and growth.

Well, I think my daughter is a better player now than when the season started, yes. She performs her roll better now than she did at the start of the year for her team. She has improved her skills and understanding of the game a lot this year , she understands the why now more than before, fewer bad decisions when she plays. Best part is she has learned the missing parts of her game that we can work on this summer, so, next year she can hopfully perform her roll even better and maybe help the team in different ways as a complete player. Im a big believer that players are made in the offseason and teams are made in the season.

Agree and glad to hear.

Practice makes permanent, but it is proper practice that makes for improvement. It is maximum (within reason) proper repetition that exponentially increases improvement. Coaches are not all equally able to create practice situations that make this happen, which sometimes is due the abilities of the coach, but often may be due to the competitive situation of the school itself. That said, if and when the proper techniques and playing insights are taught through the implementation of fundamentally sound drills, most players should show improvement IF THEY WORK HARD CONSISTENTLY AND ARE WILLING TO ACCEPT COACHING.
