I won't be able to make this game tonight, but I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts. Lots of interesting topics coming into play here. Can MC win to secure a spot in the Regional tourny and continue on as the region favorite? Or will Elliott upset them? Also, if MC wins, Perry can continue his scoring quest to be the region's all time leading scorer, passing former Elliott great, Jonathan Ferguson. Will MC avenge thier loss from the 2015 region finals? All of this taking place in the small Elliott county gym, which I know will be rockin'! Wish I could be there!

I am a little biased of course but I think it will be a great game. Its going to be jam packed and should be a great environment. Morgan has won the first two this year, but you can probably throw that out the window. It is district time and very tough to beat Elliott at their place. Jordan Perry needs 73 points to become the 16th's all time leading scorer. It's his SR season and I'm sure he's gonna do all he can to get to Morehead State and play in the regionals. If Chase Porter gets hot from 3 pt land then Elliott has a good shot to win. Spencer can drive and create foul trouble and Morgan only plays 7 in their rotation. If that happens then Elliott wins. If Morgan can push the pace and use their speed advantage and control the tempo I believe they win. Good luck to both teams. Should be a great one!

Is Chase Porter related to the Porter kid that played back in early 2000's?

Should be a great opening round game of district play, I'll go with the boys from West Liberty in this one...but wouldn't be shocked to see it go the other way.

Pulling for Elliott in this one for Selfish reasons.

I've seen Elliott County's gym at its very best. Tonight will be a difficult place to get a road win. Morgan County is probably the better team but that gym will be worth 8-10 points. It could go either way really.

Morgan County has lost 3 of 5 games, with all 3 losses coming on the road. Elliott County has won 5 straight games.

 

But, the Cougars defeated Elliott County twice during the regular season including a 62-58 win in Sandy Hook.
