The scrimmage is at South Floyd, this Friday..the 11th. Time...not sure should be around 7:00. I will be there.

Powell has nice facilty for football and the kids look big enough and athletic enough. But this doesn't translate into a success. What is the story at Powell someone told me they we moving out of 2A ....

I'm with you with that assessment. A school the size of Powell (last year's enrollment was 729) should have better teams than they have. At least occasionally. I'm not sure they've ever had a winnng record since they began football in the early '90s.

Powell has never had a winning season. They went 5-5 one year. Powell may enrollment that is high but doesn't get alot of kids out for football that can play at a high level. The administration has made it clear that the off-season program isn't required, therefore athletes tend to not commit. Bruce Jones has done a pretty good job there with discipline during the season, but there isn't commitment from the players and administration.

They do have a pretty good youth program.
