Staman2 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Who wins & why Also Sr night for Owen I'll go wil 73-62 Owen
DHL Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 This will be a dandy! Wish I could go. Owen wins on a Carson Williams put back.
8th Region Warrior Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 This game has a chance to be a dandy that is for sure. But with that being said I think both coaches have to be careful on what they show and what there true game plan to be, same for the game last week vs. South. These 3 teams are clearly the best 3 in the 8th region, can and should meet again in 2 weeks

Surely, Owen's coach is going to do whatever it takes to win for his seniors and I would think Oldham's coach wants to send a message.
OldhamOldie Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Get there early tonight if you want a seat. Oldham County will be bringing a ton of fans, and the Owen County people will be there in force. My pick is Owen County 68, Oldham County 52. Final home game in the O-Zone for Carson Williams. I like Oldham County's talent, they just have to find a rotation of 7-8 players to go with. I think they will slow the tempo down tonight to limit possessions, but asking a lot to win on senior night on the road.
khsaafanatic Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 (edited) Carson Williams isn't losing his last game on that court. Edited February 18, 2016 by True blue (and gold)
nkywildcat68 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Not buying the whole "holding back for a possible regional meeting" theory for either side. Its important for both teams for similar reasons, simply to gather momentum to head into the postseason. Despite their success this season, and in the past decade or so, Owen hasnt had a lot of success historically against the bigger schools in the 8th region. And, like someone said above, Oldham would like for the Rebels to still have that doubt on whether or not they can beat them. It'll be a close game.

The Oldham County people feel slighted this season because of all the attention Owen County has deservedly gained. This will be an intense game, much like the South Oldham game last week. Oldham County is well-coached and will use multiple defenses tonight. I will be interested to see if they apply full court pressure on Owen County. Great game just several hours away. I am thinking SRO crowd.
