His father was an excellent former player at trinity. The family made a very wise and enlightened decision. :thumb:

I agree, he would of had his work cutout getting playing time on the TRINITY J.V. team!! Let alone dressing for Varsity? Just the facts sir!!

These last few posts are tip-toeing through a pretty dangerous minefield. I suggest we drop it.

Just setting facts straight, but I hear you loud and clear.:thumb:

Since he played a large role in handing the gravel (your current JV's) their lunch last year on the freshman level, I'm sure he would have been welcomed with open arms. Just the TRUE facts, sir!! :flame: :scared:

Slow down fella. The fact is he was pulled from the game at QB. The kid that came in did a much better job. X won, but considering all the hype about the finest freshman class in decades I was glad that we could go toe to toe with the baby tigers. I won't knock the kid. I wanted him to attend and play for the Rocks. But its incorrect to say that he "handed the Rocks their lunch". What was the margin of victory?

Did you note who was making all those tackles at Safety, as well as intercepting the ball? Why it was DJ!!

Also if I remember right, the gravel were supposed to have the superior team, at least prior to the actual contest.

I don't believe we were talking about his defensive skills but nice try (I wouldn't expect anything else). Better class? I seem to remember you and your ilk writting the obituary for Rock football due to their paltry 60 or 70 freshman compared to the Tigers class of well over 100. DJ was dubbed the heir apparent at QB (maybe even both ways), Deuce was to be the finest back in school history... I don't think even you can sell that whopper OX. I don't recall anyone giving the Rocks a snowballs chance (other than Rockpride). BTW, what was the margin in that "tailwhippin"? Was it larger than the 8 points the Rocks squeeked by the "best team" last December?

You guys need to get a room. This thread was about the varsity QB of the 2006 team. Lets leave the past out of this thread.

"How Sweat it is"

I know it's been really hot recently and all, but don't you mean "How SWEET it is"?

As a X fan, it really doesnt matter.! Who ever moves the offense and is more productive, will win out in the long run... . If both have a chance to prove themselves in the first 3 or 4 games ( I strongly suspect that they will...) then all will be settled by the 5th game of the season..... It will work its way out. both will compete with "team" being the main concept. A real tribute to the kids, parents and coaches.... As a fan, I will observe who is more productive and efficient at running the offense in the first few games..... Then I will have a more objective opinion as to who should be leading the Tigers......... NOTE: The N0. 2 man must be prepared to "finish the job" if called upon ie. 1997 season ....(I think)......
