silo11 Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 per Chris Jung. Hoptown led as much as 12 in the 3rd quarter. WC led at half time. Dragons made a furious comeback in the 4th. Hopkinsville really struggles to hold a lead going into the 4th.
DragonFire Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Central struggled some in the first quarter before a nice run put them up at halftime by three. But by the midpoint of the second quarter and especially in the third quarter, the Hopkinsville press was eating them alive. The Dragons led 35-33, and then a 16-0 run by the Tigers brought the roof in on them. Central managed to claw their way within two at one point in the last minute, but turned it over on a possession they had a chance to tie on, and missed a last second three after getting a steal with 2 seconds left. Central has hung around against some of the best in the state (Bowling Green, Bullitt East, and Hopkinsville), but haven't quite got the bounces they needed to win it.
PurplePride92 Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 This is a good win for Hoptown and a good game for Warren Central and their quest for the 4th Region title.
