Hopkinsville 61 Ensworth (TN) 52

Featured Replies

Ensworth was 16-0 coming into the game. They're lead by 6'1 PG Jordan Bone a University of Tennessee commit. Jalen Johnson and Kourtney Ware combined to score 40 points for Hopkinsville. This is a huge win for the Tigers.

One of the top rated teams in Tennessee. Tough to win at Tiger gym.

According to Lucas Albauch Coach Haworth said this is one of their biggest regular season wins in his 6 years.

I saw he said pre game this was the best team they have ever hosted since he has been there. It was a tenacious defensive game.

I think this solidifies Hopkinsville as a true threat to Christian County to win the region. I've talked to some who didn't think any 2nd region team had a chance to beat County. From what I heard Tilghman's pressure defense hurt County tonight. Hopkinsville is a very good defensive team and when they have a good game they're tough to beat. Watch out for Hopkinsville to make a fifth straight trip to Rupp.

Ensworth had won 4 straight state championships in Tn until they lost in the semis last year. They were very impressive and as Wky said, undefeated this year till last nights game. They play Brentwood Academy next (who beat Trinity). They had two players that really stood out. Desmond Cambridge and Jordan Bone. We will see them both at the next level.

From what I have been told yes

Hoptown is almost healthy as of the tournament in Nashville, TN last week, they have played a loaded schedule (the toughest in the state with banged up football players starting) there is no doubt there will be another sweet 16 appearance. This time a finals appearance is inevitable!!

Happy for the enthusiasm for Hoptown, but they still have a huge obstacle in Christian County before even reaching the Sweet 16. Are they good enough to win Region 2, are they good enough to go far in the S16, yes. But there are about 20 other teams I would say the same thing on with their region and the S16.

Hoptown tho at full strength is really, really good.

Christian County is not at full strength. Sebree missed the Tilghman game (sick).

Jaylen Sebree scored 10 points against Tilghman according to Chris Jung.

Sebree played but not the entire game. He had to come out multiple times for illness is what I was told.

Ok thanks for the info. I hate to hear that though. He's been sick since the Centralia tournament.

The way I see it Torrian Ware has been stepping up big time since jalen sebree has been off his game due to sickness.... Torrian Ware is a man amongst boys and he's only a sophomore.... he's a walking double double. Probably the best 3 pt shooter in the region. He's unstoppable. And there is no way hoptown beating county this year they have 3 of the best scorers in the region. Tyriq. Torrian. And jalen sebree. A three headed monster that no one in the state of Kentucky has beaten yet. Hoptown doesn't have anybody who's strong enough to stop Ware. Right now he's the man for Christian County
