John Turner Classic at Newport High School

4:00 - Boone County vs. Western Hills, OH

6:00 - Campbell County vs. Newport Catholic

The boys basketball shootout is in honor of John Turner (1939-2013), Class of 1957, who was All-State in football and basketball.

He went on to score over 1000 points for the Louisville Cardinals basketball program, and later played in the NBA for the Chicago Packers. The star of Louisville's first Final Four team in 1959, Turner still ranks eighth all-time at U of L in both career scoring average (16.9 ppg) and career rebounding average (10.6 rpg).

A full Saturday of hoops action. :thumb:

NCC may route the Camels after they suffered a tough loss to the Class A Mustangs.

Other games don't seem very appealing but still sounds like a great day off hoops.

Curious how many fans that last game gets with the Bengals kicking off at 8:30pm..

Camels need to start getting it together, beginning tonight with NCC. Last night's loss not devastating because it was a rivalry game and Brossart is better than advertised. Wilson needs the ball in his hands more.
