MJAlltheWay24 Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I knew they were expanded and bought a new building but I didn't realize they were going to have a brand new tap room and event space. Awesome for them and the craft beer scene in Greater Cincinnati: MadTree to build $18M brewery, taproom in Oakley | Local News - WLWT Home The plans call for installation of a new American-made W.M. Sprinkman Corp. 100 barrel brewhouse, an expanded quality laboratory, a much larger taproom featuring 64 taps and a 10,000 square foot outdoor beer garden, an expanded Catch-A-Fire Pizza café, two private event spaces, and office space for staff. "We've been struggling to keep up with demand locally and this expansion will allow us to catch-up. Plus, we can begin sharing MadTree in other parts of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana," said Brady Duncan, MadTree Brewing co-founder, in the release. "It's still a bit surreal to think how far we've come in less than three years."
NEERFAN Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 The Cincy Beer scene is on the rise. Their new place is humongous and needed.

Read where Blank Slate actually announced an expansion yesterday as well, tripling their BBL production. Not that these smaller breweries need to be marketing gurus, but you'd think you'd wouldn't announce that one the same day as MadTree (and they did announce it after them).
2 Humped Camel Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Of all of the local Breweries, I haven't enjoyed a single beer I've tried from MadTree. I'm happy a local company is having success but give me a Rhinegiest or Mt. Carmel any day over MadTree.
UKMustangFan Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 I was pumped when I saw this yesterday. While I enjoy the year-round offerings from Rhinegiest more, the seasonals MadTree puts out are second to none IMO. The Catch A Fire pizza joint is phenomenal as well. Can't wait to see the new place.

I'd recommend trying, if you haven't already their: Thundersnow - Nice winter season beer Dreamsicle - Kolsch - Not exactly my favorite but I know a lot of people like it Happy Amber - Amber/Red Ale Galaxy High - Tough to find but a Double IPA

Great brick oven pizza.
NEERFAN Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Barrel aged Axis Mundi and Citra High are classic.

MJAlltheWay24 Posted January 9, 2016 Author Posted January 9, 2016 Odd timing indeed, you have to wonder if he knew about the Mad Tree announcement. They knew. They should've waited a couple days but whatever. Still good news for another Cincy brewery. From their Instagram: blankslatebrewing: Lot's of great beer news today. This will probably get lost in the media fervor about MadTree's expansion (congrats guys btw) but we did some expanding today too. Went from 52 BBL fermentation to 157 BBL and from 21 BBL brite space to 60 BBL. No comparison for sure but that's a lot for our little operation!
