December 25, 201510 yr Since September/October, their have been 4, yes 4 house fires in Estill County alone. Two of the houses were abandoned and didn't have running electricity to them....The cause of the two other house fires haven't been released.

December 25, 201510 yr Author Did the authorities rule the first two arson? The fire chief said he had his own theories of how one started. The other one had been empty for awhile and as far as I know didn't have any electric to it

December 26, 201510 yr I know nothing about Estill county, but if there is much of a homeless population or a drug problem, either of those things could have certainly contributed. Huntington, Wv has a similar problem but on a much larger scale. In Huntington most of this is due to abandon houses being used as drug houses, but in some cases its due to the homeless trying to stay warm.
