December 11, 201510 yr Calling Lipton Bash? What about a Paul/Kasich ticket? I find that this ticket would get a lot of attention. I have met Paul a couple of times, but have met Kasich a little more. I'll just say that I felt a compassionate Kasich that was in tune to those that he was talking to. I also hope that Paul and Kasich get a lot more time talking at the debate on Tuesday.
December 11, 201510 yr Kasich is a solid politician. I think he has paid the biggest price for Trumpmania. His delivery is a little dry but he has a nice track record. If he had Bush's money/ backers I think he would be in the hunt. Paul is just to nutty. Like many people I know they just can't get into supporting him. The Paul / Sanders ticket would be worth the price of admission. I kinda put those to in the same category.
December 11, 201510 yr I do think that Kasich on any ticket will be the way to go. He might be, but he just doesn't have that brand name. I'm not sure what he can do to change that.
December 11, 201510 yr I just saw this thread and was actually talking about the exact same thing with some friends. We've come to the conclusion the older republican base isn't ready for Paul but he may be the most attractive candidate in a National election because he does appeal to a segment of the left with his libertarian views. I've said this before and I'm not comparing the two directly but I think Paul will have to fight for awhile like Reagan with the party leaders to get them on his side. Kasich comes off as very compassionate and a real person. Which will go over well in general election.
December 11, 201510 yr That ticket is probably the only one that would get me off of Gary Johnson. I find Paul to be confounding in general, but I'd take him every day including Sunday over Hillary, and that's not a provincial thing just because he lives in Ky.

Gary Johnson shares a lot of same points as I do but when he talks he for some reason creeps me out.
December 11, 201510 yr Gary Johnson shares a lot of same points as I do but when he talks he for some reason creeps me out. Doesn't matter. It's my protest vote and I'm sticking with it. Not like he has a real chance to implement any of his policy stances anyway.

December 11, 201510 yr I'd back that ticket. Senator Paul is the only candidate from either of the two major parties I'd consider. Otherwise, it's Gary Johnson for me as well.
December 11, 201510 yr Won't most Republican candidates consider Kasich as their VP in hopes of winning OH?
December 11, 201510 yr Won't most Republican candidates consider Kasich as their VP in hopes of winning OH? Rubio/Kasich is probably the dream ticket for the party right now.
December 11, 201510 yr Rubio/Kasich is probably the dream ticket for the party right now. I'm guessing you are right.
