This was the D1 (largest class) Ohio State Championship Game.

 

St. Ed was up 31 to 14 in the 4th, Wayne came back to go up 35 to 31, then St. Ed drove the length of the field to go up 38 to 35 with only 1:19 left in the 4th.

 

On top of that, St. Ed squibbed the kick after scoring, it bounced off a Wayne player and St. Ed recovered. After that, St. Ed lined up in a power set to run out the clock and ended up going about 50 for a TD on the first play to make it 45 to 35.

 

These are two very impressive high school football teams.

 

Additionally, Time Warner Cable did an excellent job broadcasting this game. I would love to see the KHSAA partner with Time Warner to bring us all the KY State Championships on live TV.

Great game by two really good schools.

 

I am betting Wayne had more transfer players than the private school did.

Wayne had some stud looking players.

They always seem to.

 

I enjoy watching them play as well as St. Ed.

UK commit DB Tobias Gilliam had a great game for Wayne
