And what Republican leaders do is pander... Pander, pander, and pander some more. With the refugee situation , they are pandering to the many xenophobes and Muslimophobes in the base. In the case of marriage equality, they pander to the homophobic base. When it comes to religion, they pretend to subscribe to Biblical principles so as to effectively pander to the Allah-fearing evangelicals.

Maybe I will contact Geigo and suggest a theme for their next commercial...Pandering GOP politicians. Pandering- that's what they do !

 

Now, to the refugee issue, would you agree that a four or five year old doesn't pose to much of a national security risk? I don't really care whether we accept 1 or 100, or 10,000. Doesn't really matter to me. The 10,000 new Syrian refugees that Obama wants resettled here(by the way, we let in about 70,000 refugees per year) is the equivalent of 3 people being added to a football stadium filled with 100,000 people. Are Republicans really that scared of three year-old orphans as Obama stated? I know one thing- GOP leaders are at it again...PANDERING to the ignorant base of the party, a crazy base that seems to be growing ever so wider.

 

Now, let's here it. I'll probably have a few that will agree with me and the rest will get their feelings hurt for me making fun of something or another. Where did I cry your whine line this time, Republicans...orphans or Allah?

I am not a pandering Congressman so I cannot say, but I would imagine the only reason that Congress does not want to let 4 & 5 year old Muslim orphans into the country is for fear that ISIS will bomb the area where those innocent orphans live.

 

I can't say though, because I personally am not against accepting refugees.

 

 

I also think that this situation might be the straw that breaks the GOP's back. I've never seen so many Republicans taking sides against each other.
