November 12, 201510 yr My brother and I are 9 years apart and in some ways more than that. While we do share a lot of music tastes (Beasties) we also separate on some 90s stuff. Of course, I was already trying to figure out how to be a dad while he was just "figuring it out." Short piece he wrote about concerts and how they can impact you especially at the time. Nothing earth shattering just a fun remembrance. Note: Some will remember that I've stated that cursing is second nature to me whether that's good or insignificant I'll let you decide. I say that to remind you that the piece is written by someone with similar DNA - you've been warned. Old School: The Power of Nirvana | Mark Patrick Spencer
November 12, 201510 yr I appreciate the article, I can remember folks talking about the grunge boys from Seattle all the time..........but was NEVER a fan (of either group).
November 12, 201510 yr Man oh man do I miss Nirvana being around. Kurt Cobain's death was striking to me at that age, and stands out as an "I remember where I was when I heard" event in my life. Seeing the Beastie Boys was way high on my concert bucket list, and I was lucky to get to do so in the 00's.
November 13, 201510 yr Rear right bumper of my old VW Golf. One of the first ones I put on there back in 1998 when I got her brand new.
