Finals per KHSAA. Region 9 final set. Who predicted this one? Who didn't? Will Boone finish the run with a win vs NDA? (I say no)

 

In my opinion its a 3 team race ND, Highlands and NCC, the draw is very critical in my opinion.

I gotta go with my Rebels here. I think they are clicking on all cylinders right now! This should be a good one. I think Boone puts in a corner kick late in the 2nd half and wins 2-1.

Like the way NCC keeps spread out and uses the whole field, the unselfish play, and the overall team speed. My only concern with NCC not winning would be if the goal keeper (Martin) still is not able to play. I like NCC 2-1.

This Boone team won't back down or be scared of ND!! It'll be a good game. Boone can score and defend. If they play like they did last night again they will give ND fits and we will see if they can handle the pressure! Looking forward to a good match.

Does Boone really only have 12 players that dress or is it that they only play 12 players? I seem to remember that they forfeited a game earlier in the year for lack of players? Not sure I understand how that happens with a school the size of Boone. Can someone fill in the gaps please?

Think I counted 3 players on the bench last night.

Had 3 subs last night but only used one. Have 3 other girls (one starter who has missed all yr) that are out. So if everyone was healthy boone would have 17.

Do they not have a JV team?

Gotcha. I was just trying to figure out why they would not dress a few more girls that could be used in short spurts just to give kids a rest.

Some of the best games my teams have had (and easiest to coach) were when I only had 1 or 2 subs. The chemistry they gain offsets some of the lack of fresh legs, especially if they are a possession team. I have seen this repeatedly over the years. Don't ever underestimate a team because they don't have subs.
