Russell 18 Raceland 12 (Frosh) (OT)

Featured Replies

I gotta say, I didn't see this one coming. Russell's freshman haven't been very good this year and I was under the impression that Raceland has a pretty good freshman class. I heard that Raceland's best freshman player broke his collar bone for the second time this year in Monday's JV game against Russell. He's a fine looking player and may have tipped the scales in Raceland's favor had he played.

From what I can tell, two of Raceland's best young players suffered season ending injuries against the Devils on Monday. Here's hoping that those two young men heal up and get back out there next year.

How good is Ashland's Freshman team this year? Does Russell have a chance in the Kiwanis Bowl next week? Before ihigh shut down, I was able to see Ashland's freshman scores but I have no idea what their record is this year.

I've seen them play a couple of times. They looked good when I saw them. However, I think that there were some sophomores and juniors playing with them. I know that they didn't have many kids out this year, maybe thats why the older kids were playing. They do have a big qb and a good tail back. I don't know how the line would look with just freshman, that's where some of the older kids play. I will be in attendance that night. I wish both teams good luck, but a little more luck to the young Cats.
