Loudly all Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Congrats on a big win. Great job by the administration, coaches, and players. Definitely a different team than were used to seeing at valley.
Sparky Anderson Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Give credit where credit is due. I think that it is great that the Valley players are able to enjoy some success, but it has nothing to do with the administration and the head coach. Schedule is softer this year, 6A and 5A schools were replaced with 3A and 2A schools, which is where the schedule should have been all along. From what I hear, the head coach only shows up for the last 30 minutes of practice because of his job. Again, I think it's great for the Valley kids to have a taste of success, but give credit to the players and the asst coaches.
Loudly all Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I agree with you somewhat about the schedule. It looks like holy cross 1a, Nelson County 5a, Butler and Bullit Central 6a, were replaced with Shawnee ?a, John Hardin 4a, Breckinridge county 4a, and Atherton 5a. All easier than their opponents last year. But they have however beat some of the same teams that beat the hell out of them last year. Including western who beat them 68-20 last year. Looks like they added a few new coaches and added a few players to their roster that were hurt last year. A combination of all these aspects, I believe has contributed to their success this year.

I seriously doubt John Hardin will be an easier opponent than anyone they played last year. But you'll find that out next week.
