Covington Holy Cross 29 Bethlehem 6

Featured Replies

Final.

Indians (almost called them Cougars — old habit) scored right before half to go up 15-6, and if my info is correct they scored again early in the 3rd quarter to extend to 22-6 and take control.

Big defensive game for the Indians this game.

Much thanks! :thumb:

Yeah, that would work. I don't do road games until the playoffs usually, so that would be one I'd hit.

Heavy rain kept this as a defensive struggle. Skill positions on both sides did not have good traction. Safety and pick 6 by HC were the stories of the 1st quarter. Scott and Barnes of HC broke two 30+ yard runs for TDs late in the 2nd and early in the 3rd. Abernathy of HC closes up the scoring with a short TD run in the 4th. The rest of the game was pretty much a punting contest between the 30's.

Owen finke had a nice pick to help the offense by giving them the ball in good field position

I want to add that Bethlehem had a 16 play drive in the 2nd quarter leading to a Hunter Downs TD from 6 yards out.

Noticed that as well. Far and away their best drive of the night. HC defense was lights-out outside of that, from what I saw with the stats.
