Here are the results for this week's Central Kentucky/Lexington Regional football contest.

The Central KY Contest is Sponsored by WPBK-FM Postgame Scoreboard Show

Here are the scores for the Week 5 contest games:

Bourbon County 42 Clark County 35

Lexington Catholic 41 Madison Central 0

Franklin County 33 Anderson County 30

Tates Creek 30 Madison Southern 20

Campbellsville 15 Green County 12

Scores were much improved this week - although most of the games were close, the contest favorites generally took care of business. I was gratified by the uptick in this week's scoring; it gives me renewed faith that there is hope for this bunch yet. There were seven perfect scores of 18 this week.

Congratulations torjs4470 for winning the week 5 contest - and correctly picking Bourbon County as the tiebreaker!

plantmanky 7 A special shout-out to the plant man, who managed to record what we in the contest biz affectionately refer to as the Randy Daily Double. Lowest score of the contest AND choosing a team that got shut out for the tiebreaker.

Please double-check your scores and PM me in the event that I made a miscalculation. Thanks for playing, and see you in Week 6!

@plantmanky you are terrible.

As (finally) promised, here are the season standings through Week 5. Please double-check your score and send me a PM in the highly unlikely event that I erred.

And how in the name of all that is holy does someone from Delaware (the land of three counties) win a Kentucky football contest?

And how in the name of all that is holy does someone from Delaware (the land of three counties) win a Kentucky football contest?

Not just win a KY football contest, but also be the season leader after 5 weeks, and it's in a part of the state I don't live anywhere near. Only one possible answer....pure luck!!
