Covington Catholic @ Montgomery County Predictions

I may try to stop by this one. If I do, who from Cov Cath should I pay special attention to?

Is 5 off the bench "a lot of the CCH bench" or are you predicting a scoreline that allows CCH to get 25 in the game?

Related question, if CCH schedule is a little easier in the second half of the season and they keep winning handily, do they keep getting 20+ players in games or at some point does that hurt fitness for the 14-15 who have to be ready to play 60+ minutes in post season? Just curious about thoughts on managing a large and very talented roster.

The best teams have a fitness program/plan that includes game play. I think the key to winning the State Championship is depth. The goal should be to get all the players ready to step up for the games. They, as a team, will only be ready when the level of trust is deep. The coach will need to be have trust that he can sub deep into the roster without a loss of quality. The players will have to trust that a player off the bench can run with the best/rest. Recall the Trinity game: Trinity subbed early and often and with 15 minutes to go the CCH boys were gassed and Trinity brought the horses: tempo increased, level of aggression increased and the CCH team seemed wilted. That's what Bowling Green did to Scott last year in the Championship. Staying thin is a losing proposition (this factor is different in the higher levels of the game because all teams have restricted subs)...from my experience. Fewer subs is a risky proposition for this year and years to come.

...........as long as your school has the luxury of numbers. Scott last year (most years) did not.

I would pay very special attention to GroinPull. Lock your car, actually.

CCH 2 MoCo 0 at half. Goals by Day and Flynn. CCH has also missed a PK. Day didn't start but is playing. CCH with all the possession but struggling to put it in.
