I don't think Keith showing that fake idol changes anything. I would not buy it. If someone whose neck is on the line shows an idol before the vote, that is a dead giveaway it is fake. Why would anyone show an idol if it were real? It blows up their leverage. It is better to keep an idol hidden till after the vote if it is real.

 

First when I said "play" I didn't actual mean play it as in attempt to use it to save himself with Probst. More that he needed to play that trick. That's my fault and a poor choice of word.

 

Normally I'd tend to agree with you. But there were different circumstances last night.

 

1. It was the last time he could play it so there isn't a need to hide it.

2. They could have shown it to someone from the dominant 3 and said they wanted to form a final 3 alliance since the dominant one was being broke up.

3. This fake idol had provenance as Kelly had an actual idol note with it. Plus it looked freaking real.

 

From the edit we got I don't think Keith remotely came close to using that tool as he could have.

That was my favorite Survivor season by far. As soon as Jeremy played the family card, it was clearly a World Series bottom of the 9th walk off grand slam. The twists and turns every week were captivating and it kept you locked in until the very end. Tops the first Russell Hantz season as the best in show history.

Fishbach confirmed this on his twitter. Basically said Jeremy was going to win but the family speech made is 10-0.
