CCH did only play 12 against Trinity, I don't think it was all due to lack of depth, but only the coach can answer for certain.

I would agree that very few (likely none in KY or even the Tri-State area) HS teams have really good depth past 14-16 players at best. To ask why a coach does not play 20 kids is asking a lot. Go to almost any good HS varsity basketball, for the majority of the game most teams go 7 maybe 8 deep with a bench of 15. The last 7-8 players on the bench typically only get on the court the last few minutes and only if the game has been completely decided by then.
