Hazard got a really nice win over 5A Letcher County Central last week. This week they face a Somerset team playing its 3rd straight game against a good 1A opponent. Somerset is 2-1 but got manhandled by 1A #1 Beechwood last week. Somerset will be looking for redemption against another ranked 1A program as they travel to Hazard. Who do you like in this one - the Bulldogs or the Jumpers? Who do you think is the favorite? What does each team need to do to get the win?

If Somerset comes out with passion and desire, they could make this a game. I would like this game more if it were at home but I'll say 24-22 hazard because of the home field.

 

Hurts to say it, but I just call it how I see it.

There are a LOT of teams that Beechwood is going to manhandle. Somerset didn't play well enough up front to have a prayer against Beechwood. I expect this game to be a very good one on Friday.

 

As for Beechwood go ahead and size them up for a ring, they're really good in the trenches and have great athletes to go with... Just my two cents.

This should be a really good game. Hazard has lost a couple kids for the season and this is a very young team. Hazard has a solid running game and I think they abandoned it in the Fairview game and throwed the ball too much. I hope I can be in attendance for this game. Hazards secondary was suppose to be very good this year but it has not lived up to par because of the kids getting hurt.. The run defense is much improved only allowing Jaylen Williams of Letcher under a 100 yards according to there stats on khsaa scoreboard.
